FOUNDATION

What is this society of honour:
'To The Honour Society of 'RSI' The Rover Order of St. George is the Honor Society of the Fellows of the Rover Scouts International, the network of Rover Scouts mainly from the national Rover Scout associations- initially RESA of UK, United States Rovers of USA, RoverBSP of the Philippines, Rover Teams and Scouts from Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, Greece, Mexico, Poland, Kenya, Finland, Japan, Sweden, and Turkey embodying the World Brotherhood of Open Air and Service as defined by the Founder, Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell.

Location:
The home of the Rover Order of St. George is in the Rover Scouts International located at the headquarters of the founders-national Rover Scout associations: RESA in UK, USRovers in the USA, RoverBSP in the Philippines and thereafter in every member-national Rover Scouts associations

What are we about:
The Rover Order of St. George is about "commitment" Pursuant of  Rover scouting, to pursue one's "Quest for Service" to God, Country and his Fellow man.

The Fellowship to the Honor Society of the Rover Scouts International:
The Fellowship to the Honor Society of the Rover Scouts International is the conferred Knights of the Rover Order of St. George. Nominations for the conferment of knighthood maybe submitted by any Member Knight and is assessed and conferred by the Grand Council of the Rover Order of St. George.

Aims and objectives of the order:
The aim of The Rover Order of St. George is to promote the quest for service to God, country and fellow men through the Codes of Compassion, Chivalry, and Humility.
The Objectives of ‘The Rover Order of St. George’ are to:
1) Serve the world brotherhood of the open air and service;
2) Prepare the youth to be productive and responsible citizens ;
3) preserve the great outdoors for the future generations;
4) Render emergency and rescue service to the needy; and
5) Recognize the achievements of Rover Scouts in their quest for service

Affiliated membership:
This affiliated membership within the Rover Explorer Scouts Association is set up for those who wish to work toward commitment and excellence within the Rover Scouts Movement and Rover Scouting world wide. (Especially for those who wish to maintain a quality and tradition once set our founder.)

Those who may apply:
The membership and Fellowship within The Rover Explorer Scouts Association is acceptance of an ordinary member of extra ordinary commitment and dedication, demonstrated by them as a Rover Scout, Scouter or Rover Scout Leader in pursuing his or her commitment to serve as envisioned by The Founder, Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell or Gilwell. I the manner like wise when he established
"The Brotherhood of the Open Air and Service"
Showing this by extolling the principles of Chivalry, Humility and Selflessness in the manner as of the "Knight Errands" of the medieval past and as inspired by "St. George, the Martyr" Our Patron Saint

Please do take note:
The Order and those who have been asked to join this site must understand that this is not a club, or an order that just offer awards because one has been a member or indeed a leader within the Rover Scout Section of the World Scouting brotherhood.

A nomination as a fellow:
A nomination as a fellow to The Rover Order of Saint George is based upon equality of men regardless of Race, Gender, and creed or indeed socio-economic stature or material success as set out in the original charter of scouting world wide at the Foundation of The Order, it will be an acknowledgement of a person’s commitment in his quest for service to his God, country and fellow men.

The vows of knighthood:
Knights on conferment commit himself to the vows of the Knighthood of the Rover Order of St. George, to wit:
-To promote the principles of the Scout Oath and Law;
-To practice the Knightly virtues of Chivalry- Service, Humility and Selflessness;
-To preserve the creation of God- the great outdoors;
-To render emergency and rescue service;
-To lead in the world brotherhood of the open air and service.

THE BRONZE KNIGHTHOOD ( BK )
The recognition for the exemplary achievements of a Rover Scout in any of the four service areas of Rover Scouts International-

1. Be a registered and active member of his/her Rover Circle;
2. Lead a Rover Team of at least four Rover Scouts in his national Rover association;
3. Participated in any of the following RSI Service Areas with significant impact in his council or community:
a. Career and Leadership Development
b. Environmental Protection and Management
c. Emergency and Rescue Service
d. World Brotherhood of the Open Air and Service;
4. An active member of the Rover Scouts International; and
5. Nominated by at least a Silver Knight of the Rover Order of St. George.

THE SILVER KNIGHTHOOD ( SK )
The Silver Knighthood is the exemplary achievements of a Commitment by the Fellow Bronze Knight of the Rover Order of St. George in his Quest for Silver Service-

1. Be a registered and active member of his/her National Rover Association;
2. Lead a Rover Circle of at least four Rover Teams;
3. Served in all of the RSI Service areas with significant impact in his country:
a. Career and Leadership Development Program
b. Environmental Protection and Management
c. Emergency and Rescue Service
d. World Brotherhood of the Open Air and Service
4. An active member of the Rover Scouts International for at least 2 years
5. Nominated by at least a Golden Knight of the Rover Order of St. George.

THE GOLDEN KNIGHTHOOD ( GK )
The Golden Knighthood is the exemplary achievements of the Commitment by a Fellow Silver Knight of the Rover Order of St. George in his quest for the golden service-

1. Be a registered and active member of his/her National Rover Association for at least 2 years;
2. Served in his National Rover Association for at least 5 years;
3. Served in any of the RSI Service areas with significant impact in his country and internationally:
a. Career and Leadership Development Program
b. Environmental Protection and Management
c. Emergency and Rescue Service
d. World Brotherhood of the Open Air and Service
4. An active member of the Rover Scouts International for at least 5 years
5. Nominated by at least a Golden Knight of the Rover Order of St. George.


Founded:

The Rover Order of St. George is hereby founded by the Fellows of the Rover Scouts International in the 18th day of July, in the year of our Lord, 2008.

Requirements:

1. To set up a New or build and existing Rover Crew

2. To work at building the foundation of Rovering on the Traditional Rover Scout system

3. The methods of presentation of progress and growth shall be shown in the Log which will show everything from photographs to event flyers.

4. This should be ready for demonstration within the first three months

5. By the sixth month the Crew should be shown to be stable and functioning within the environment of it's local, School, College, Church, Youth facility or otherwise

6. This could be in the setting up of a Lone Rover Crew

7. The Crews / Crew would need to have at least 5 members

This should be proven by completed Logs through out the first 3/6 months.
The documentation / Logs should be emailed / posted to
RESA IHQ (Scoutmaster Court of Honour) FAO – The Chief Commissioner

The basic program below should be used in the training of Squire to Rover Scout.
